Missing baby case: Sydney woman charged with murder

19 Nov, 2009 12:07 PM
A 34-year-old Sydney woman has been charged with the murder of a baby girl missing, feared dead, since 1996.

The baby was last seen alive at Auburn Hospital on September 14 1996, 48 hours after she was born.

The NSW Department of Public Prosecutions yesterday served a 34-year-old woman on the northern beaches with an indictment for the infant's murder, police said.

She will appear in the Supreme Court on December 4.
