QUEENSLANDER Isabella Holland is squeezing the Launceston International between the Australian Open and ventures to Europe and the US on her globe-trotting schedule.
The 20-year-old, of Brisbane, is making her third visit to Tasmania, having played the Burnie International last year and also competing at the Moorilla in Hobart.
Ranked among the top 10 in Australia and 196th in the world, Holland gained some priceless experience at last month's grand slam in Melbourne where she contested both doubles and singles, losing to Israeli Shahar Peer in the first round.
``It's good to get matches under your belt, build your confidence and develop your game,'' Holland said at the Launceston Regional Tennis Centre this week.
``These are good tournaments for doing that and boosting your ranking.''
Holland, who began her doubles campaign successfully with Wimbledon junior champion Ashleigh Barty yesterday, plays her first singles match today.
