Graeme Purdon, Greg Williams and Wayne Purdon, who came from behind to pip Michael Leslie by two points, won for RSL, and Graeme Pickett made up 255 points to get up over Adrian White.
The Flaming Devils continued their good form winning 3-1 over Works Gold.
Heath Rainbow, Roydyn Bishop and Andrew Rainbow won for the Devils, while John Fraser was Gold's sole winner.
Works Navy moved up to fifth on the ladder, beating Exeter 3-1.
John Fordham, Phil Page and Ray Skinner all won close matches for Navy, while Adam Bindoff was Exeter's only winner.
Works Black drew 2-2 with Works Green. Andrew Saltmarsh and Bruce Lockley won for Black, and Cor Zoon and Dean Wilson were Green's winners.
