The other three rinks were relatively close with Ken Willie finishing nine up on Darrel Butler, Grant Wyllie was four to the good of Paul Wilson and Gavin Smith won by five over Darrel Clarke.
Port Sorell also had a close one winning by three shots after sharing the rinks with South Burnie.
Wynyard proved to be the better team than Smithton winning on three rinks by 12 shots.
In another close game in this division, second-placed Railton snuck in by five shots over a gallant Devonport combination with Eric Fidler, Laurie Ryan, Tony Bartlett and Darby Ryan almost pulling off the win for the Pies with their 33-12 demolition of Ray Wells.

Division 4 saw Spreyton and Wynyard play a 95-shot draw, Port Sorell took advantage of the Wynyard draw when it moved ahead of them into third place with its 16-shot win over South Burnie.
Burnie fielded a full team and defeated Latrobe by 16 while Turners Beach continued its dominance of this division by gaining all the points on offer in its game against Devonport.
Turners Beach held onto second spot in division 5 East by defeating East Devonport by 14 sharing the rinks.
Ulverstone, as expected finished, much to hard for Port Sorell and Spreyton replaced Sheffield in the four by defeating the Mountaineers by seven.
In division 5 West Wynyard caused somewhat of a surprise by gaining maximum points against Penguin.
Smithton shared the rinks with Ulverstone but defeated it by eight shots and Ridgley moved off the bottom of the ladder by overcoming South Burnie.
