ONE of Tasmania's most renowned events on the state's pro-am series has received a major boost, with three state professionals taking part.
Clint Rice, of Beauty Point, Kalem Richardson, of Launceston, and Craig Hancock, of Wynyard, will all take to the tees in the $7000 pro-am, which has become one of the most popular and sought-after titles on the summer series calendar.
Tournament organiser Scott Limbrick is delighted to welcome the in-form trio, who all recently secured their cards for the lucrative One Asia tour.
``With Clint, Kalem and Craig competing, the battle for victory will be on for sure,'' he said.
``All three of them are in solid form so it will be fascinating to see how they go against the rest of the field.''
A capacity field of 36 teams will line up in the event, which is not only one of the richest in Tasmania but also the only 18-hole pro-am in the North of the state.
Limbrick said the event had come a long way and continued to attract some of the best amateur and professional players from here and interstate.
The capacity field will tee off in a shotgun start at 11am tomorrow at Country Club Tasmania.
