MICHAEL Harwood, Rodger Davis and 1990 US PGA Champion Wayne Grady will be the headline players at Kingston Beach Golf Club when the 2012 Tasmanian Senior Open tees off today.
This is Grady's first visit back to Tasmania for many years and he is looking forward to playing the Kingston Beach layout.
``I last played in Tasmania at the 1984 Tasmanian Open where I finished second to Mike Clayton,'' Grady said.
Two-time winner Harwood, who also finished second to Peter Fowler last year, is looking forward to securing his third Tasmanian Senior Open title in four years.
``It is great to be back here at Kingston Beach where I have had great success. After finishing runner up to Peter last year I am certainly keen to have my name on the trophy again,'' Harwood said.
Harwood played 16 events on the European Seniors Tour last year and finished eighth on the money list.
He has carried his fine form into 2012 with a win at the Bing Lee-Samsung New South Wales Legends Championship.
Players will tee off in the first round of the Pro Am event with a shotgun start of 11.30am.
The second round will be played tomorrow with a shotgun start of 12.30pm.
Entry is free both days to see some of the legends of Australian golf vying for the 2012 Tasmanian Senior Open.
