Summer series wraps up

08 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
WITH Esk Valley Orienteering Club's summer street series drawing to a close, the final event will see participants exploring Launceston CBD.

Participants can start tonight's event from Civic Square any time between 5pm and 6pm.

Participants of all ages are invited to attend, with three different length courses available.

Participants can choose to walk, jog or run as they search for specific points on simple street maps. Newcomers are welcome and there will be support and instruction from experienced orienteers.

On Wednesday, February 15, the autumn twilight series will begin with events held weekly in parks and reserves across Launceston and are ideal for beginning orienteers.

More experienced navigators will also be catered for, with a score or scatter course on offer.
