Cousins back in hospital

15 Mar, 2010 03:40 PM
Richmond midfielder Ben Cousins is back in hospital after being admitted late last week with strong stomach pain.

A statement released by Richmond this afternoon said the veteran had been readmitted to Epworth Hospital for further tests.

Tests confirmed Cousins had experienced "slight gastric inflammation" but nothing more serious as the cause of his strong stomach cramps and pains.

However, he had been expected to return to training today.

"Ben is under the care of a gastroenterologist and at this stage it looks as if he will stay overnight,

Richmond doctor Greg Hickey said.

Unfortunately, Ben's symptoms from last week have not yet fully resolved so we have asked for some more tests to be performed."
