Celebrity agent Max Markson insists his client Lara Bingle did not know footballer Brendan Fevola was married when they had an affair in 2006.
Mr Markson adamantly denied claims made by champion ex-footballer Dermott Brereton today that he told the model directly that Fevola was married.
"Ive got three words for you: Its not true," Mr Markson said.
Bingles image continues to take a battering over the nude photo scandal, after she sold her story to Womans Day for a reported $200,000.
In a further blow today, AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou took a swipe at Bingles legal team for being uncooperative during an investigation into the controversy.
Demetriou said the AFL had interviewed Fevola, who allegedly circulated the nude photo of Bingle, but the leagues numerous requests to talk to Bingle had so far been unsuccessful.
"The legal team acting on behalf of Lara Bingle havent been co-operative," a clearly annoyed Demetriou said.
"Weve made several requests to interview Ms Bingle but they havent agreed to those requests, thats their prerogative.
"They are pretty quick to get into the media and say all sorts of things and even tee off at the AFL but I would suggest that if they are serious then they make available Ms Bingle."
Earlier, Brereton told SENs Morning Glory program that he had pointed out Brendans wife Alex Fevola on the night Bingle and Fevola met in 2006.
Bingle had asked if Brereton thought Fevola would like her and if Fevola had a girlfriend, Brereton claimed.
"And I said back to her verbatim, No he doesnt have a girlfriend, but that pretty blonde girl standing next to him is his wife," he said.
"And her reply to me verbatim was 'Do you think hed still have a go after me?'."
He accused Bingle of telling a "blatant lie" to improve her image and cash in on the controversy.
Meantime, rumours continue to fly about the relationship status of Bingle and cricketer Michael Clarke, who left the Australian team on tour in New Zealand to rush home to his fiancee.
A spokesman for the cricketer said he had no plans to make a statement this afternoon, as reported by some media outlets.
Clarke and Bingles two-year relationship has been under intense scrutiny since the topless photo of the model, taken when she was in a relationship with Fevola, was also published in Womans Day.
Clarke was also reported to be furious after learning his fiancee had negotiated to sell the story to the magazine.
There were reports Clarke, 28, and Bingle, 22, had agreed to separate this week when Bingle was photographed without her engagement ring and a removalist van was seen outside the couples Bondi apartment on Wednesday night.
The media saga intensified as Mr Markson reportedly demanded a $1 million fee for her to appear on television.
