AFL Tasmania yesterday unveiled the inaugural Wrest Point State League Team of the Year.
The innovation has seen the league's dream team chosen by a selection committee comprising two AFL Tasmania representatives, and two independent experts.
Selection of the leading players has been based on performances over the 18-round home and away season, a year that has seen the State League reach new heights.
The team has been selected from the best player in each position on the field, rather than the best 22 players in the overall competition.
