DAVID BARTLETT 6.5/10
Very good on substance and
understanding of policy issues
and responses. Facts at his
fingertips but a reluctance to
acknowledge a lack of faith in
his Government’s ability to
deliver, given its track record.
Sometimes too defensive when
challenged by the audience.
Needed to inspire but fell short.
WILL HODGMAN 7/10
Played the majority government
pitch with confidence. Seemed
to be in control and had a sound
understanding of both the key
challenges facing any future
government and an attractive
policy framework to address
multiple and linked issues.
Audience reaction seemed not
to disarm him.
NICK McKIM 6/10
Passionate and enthusiastic,
and full of energy for the political
challenges and opportunities.
Played too much to his
constituents rather than the
audience and overplayed the
aspirations rather than the detail
of some policy areas. Has
significantly broadened the
Greens’ appeal.
