DAVID BARTLETT 7/10

David Bartlett's opening statement was measured and focused on his party's core message of health, jobs and education.

However, he faced the most dissent from the audience and while he pressed on through the disruptions he let himself down by interjecting on the other leaders' answers. Mr Bartlett performed well when directing his answers around the room but reading directly from his notes when asked about Labor's plans for the Tamar River was not the best look.

WILL HODGMAN 7.5/10

Will Hodgman started too aggressively with an immediate attack on the Premier that seemed rehearsed. He moderated with subsequent questions and began to deliver answers in a calm and measured manner. While his delivery was not the most forceful, he got his message across the clearest. His closing address on his love of Tasmania did not seem to engage.

NICK McKIM: 7/10

Probably the best speaker, Mr McKim clearly had the bulk of the audience on his side and thus milked its applause. However, the cheers cut into his answer time and forced him to run over more than the other leaders and made him rush his delivery. He failed to answer several questions directly and instead turned them back to his supporters' world view for the predictable response. His strong closing address on trust was the best of the three leaders.
