NORTHERN TASMANIAN voters last night overwhelmingly voted Michael Ferguson to State Parliament, more than two
years after they dumped him from Canberra.
Mr Ferguson topped the poll in Bass with 14,821 votes _ more than 6000 more than the Liberals' number one candidate Peter Gutwein.
Labor incumbent Michell O'Byrne was easily returned, polling 10,670 primary votes, as was Greens MHA Kim Booth (8132 votes).
Labor and Liberals looks set to win two seats each in Bass, and the Greens one.
Labor's Brian Wightman looks set to take the second Labor seat ahead of Scott McLean and Brant Webb.
