BARRY PRISMALL: Deputy editor, The Examiner

NICK MCKIM 8, DAVID BARTLETT 6, WILL HODGMAN 5

Nick Mckim firmly established himself as a showman and accomplished debater last night.

He left his major party colleagues standing at the debating podium like inanimate objects. His natural charisma and home-spun way of explaining policy, enabled the Greens leader to skate over some issues and duck some questions but always ram home the passion. Premier David Bartlett has gained an air of experience in his crash course as Premier and this confidence provides a debating edge over Will Hodgman. However, after weeks on the hustings both appeared tired and flat in Sunday's Sky News debate and The Examiner debate last night.
