NUMBERS were down at the 32nd - and possibly last - Harveydale Rodeo and Family Fun Day but it was still the place to see great horsemanship and skills yesterday.

The annual Australia Day event saw about 1600 people walk through the gates in aid of Rural Help at Hand, which helps rural residents who have to go to a city hospital.
Former secretary, committee member and daughter of event founders Syd and Enid Brown, Annette Reed said it was a good day showcasing the skills of local riders.
Mrs Reed said one of the highlights was the bull riding, which always pulled a crowd for the thrills, spills and danger the riders put themselves through.
Luke Hamilton, of Riana, won the Syd Brown Memorial Award for all-round champion on the day and placings in three of six events.
The barrel racing event was taken out by Jodi King, of the North West Coast, a former barrel racing and all-round champion.
Mrs Reed said the family would be sad to see the fun day end, but without someone to take on the role of event secretary it would not be held in the future.
