LAUNCESTON restaurateur Freddie Anis said having a stall at Festivale was an invaluable opportunity for his business.
And that is after 11 years as a restaurant owner and four years attending the event.
``From our point of view the reason we do Festivale is to be able to give people a taste of what we have to offer and in the long run we tend to get regular customers from Festivale,'' he said.
On the restaurant's menu are classics like chimichangas, pork ribs, Mexican-seasoned mushrooms and crowd-pleaser nachos with salsa, guacamole and sour cream.
And if just trying to decide what to order is a problem, they will also be presenting a tasting plate with a complete selection of their dishes.
``We try to do finger type foods so it is easy for people to just pick it up and eat it rather than having massive meals,'' Mr Anis said.
He said he thought Festivale was an event that Launceston could really be proud of and a great platform for all Tasmanian produce.
``It brings the whole Launceston community together to enjoy a taste of what Tasmania has on offer, whether they are local or tourists,'' he said.
