Launceston RC Club president Patrick Hume said that more than 100 radio-controlled cars were in action for the club's big event for the year.
``We've had people from all over the state come, and even one person from as far as Queensland,'' Mr Hume said.
``Our most popular category was short course tracks in 2WD, 10 scale 4WD buggies, eight scale buggies, touring cars, minis, as well as our junior class for under 14s.''
Mr Hume said that there had been a crowd of about 40 on hand to witness the racing.
The cup is the first of an intra-club series with other RC organisations in the state.
