North-West towns are retiree hot spots

07 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
WYNYARD and Somerset have been named as places to watch for investors seeking retirement locations.

The Australian Property Investor magazine reported that investors who bought at the right time had experienced an astounding financial return on their investments.

The report named 30 top retirement spots to watch including the two North-West Tasmanian towns.

Magazine columnist John Lindeman said the most important criteria that investors should look for when seeking retiree hot spots were areas with good access to capital cities, good healthcare services and good recreational and entertainment options for mature residents.
