A 36 YEAR-OLD Queensland man was taken to the North West Regional Hospital after he was assaulted outside Hamers Hotel in Strahan last night.
Police said the man received head injuries and a gash to the leg as a result of an altercation with two other people.
The man is said to be in a satisfactory condition.
Detective Senior Sergeant Richard Chugg said the incident was very unusual for Strahan.
''I can indicate that due to the assistance of a number of local residents we are following a specific line of inquiry in regard to the
offenders,'' Mr Chugg said.
