Firefighters are battling a fast-moving grass fire in George Town.
The fire started in a reserve at the back of the George Town Sport complex and is spreading to a neighbouring road reserve.
A Tasmanian Fire Service spokesperson said no homes were under threat from the fire at this point.
George Town and
Dalrymple fire brigades are in attendance.
Police have blocked George Street.
