Mr McKim said that the state government's Education Performance Report 2011 shows that the government's goals are on track.
"These improvements reflect the huge efforts of principals, teachers and staff to improve the learning and well-being of students in our government schools," Mr McKim said.
"This online report focuses on improvement across a broad set of 11 criteria ranging from readiness for school to student retention.
"Since the release of the first report in 2007, there has been a steady improvement across a range of measures including early years, literacy and numeracy, staff satisfaction and staff attendance categories, as well as parental satisfaction with reporting.
"Detailed and nationally comparable literacy, numeracy and socio-economic equity data is publicly available in the NAPLAN national report."
