Ministers were in Oatlands for the government's most recent community forum.
``Everybody wants to know about health, education and the budget and that's one of the reasons why we go into communities . . . to have these conversations face to face,'' she said.
``It's very important that we use every avenue that we've got to communicate with the public and these forums are a good way to actually explain to people why we're doing what we're doing and my experience is now that we've had a number of these forums since the budget is people actually appreciate hearing from the horse's mouth what's going on.''
Ms Giddings also unveiled an interpretation panel on behalf of the Brighton History Association at Pontville.
The panel, produced by the association two complement two existing panels, details the history of Pontville and its sandstone buildings.
