Festivale: get your ticket to dine

02 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
YOU love your food, you love your wine, but you hate waiting in lines.

Then you can take advantage of Festivale's pre-purchase ticket offer and save yourself having to queue at the gates.

Festivale chairwoman Lou Clark said tickets were already on sale for next weekend's food and wine event and a limited number of three-day passes were also available.

The discounted $40 three-day passes can only be purchased at the Launceston Travel and Information Centre or online and will only be available until next Thursday - unless sold out.

Ms Clark said this year's Festivale was already shaping up to be better than previous years with about 70 stalls from across the state participating.

``This year we have a really good range of quality stallholders,'' she said.

``We have some new stalls and we have some regulars.''

Stalls include Angus Gourmet Steak Sandwiches, Salsa Tapas Wine Bar Cafe, Tio Rico, Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, Brownie Point Tasmanian Gourmet Brownies, Josef Chromy Wine, Marion's Vineyard, Bay of Fires Wines and many more.

Headline acts for the event are Daryl Braithwaite, who performs on Friday night, Richard Clapton, who performs on Saturday night, and Bobby Fox and the Treatment who will perform on the Sunday.
