Susan Blyth Neill-Fraser, 58, was found guilty of murdering medical scientist Bob Chappell aboard the couple's yacht moored in the Derwent River in 2009.
Her lawyer, Madeleine Ogilvie confirmed today that her client had sought special leave to appeal against her conviction in the High Court.
