STRONG winds and bushfires across Tasmania are disrupting motorists with a dust storm on the Midland Highway and fallen trees over a road in the State's south.

Police are advising motorists on the Midland Highway between Tunbridge and Ross of a dust storm that was reducing visibility to 20 metres.
"There are very high winds in the area, and motorists are asked to slow down and use extreme caution," a police spokesman said.
The Glenora Road, from Bushy Park to New Norfolk, was earlier today due to fallen trees and fire dangers.
Police say a traffic diversion was in place at the junction of Uxbridge and Glenora Roads, diverting to Rosegarland and Lyell Highway.
Meanwhile at Goodwood, in the state's south, strong winds blew a 26 tonne fibreglass yacht over injuring a workman.
Police say the boat was in a cradle in a sandblasting bay when a wind gust shifted it 2 metres and it rolled over.
"Two men were working on it at the time. A man on the deck suffered a leg injury, but it is not serious.
"Another worker who was underneath the yacht escaped without injury," a police spokesman said.
The yacht suffered damage to the bow, bowsprit, mast and port side.
