TWO youths have been charged in relation to the stabbing of a 15-year-old in Launceston's City Park at the conclusion of Carols by Candlelight on Sunday night.
The 15- year-old victim sustained significant lacerations to his face after being chased through the park by a group of males and was taken to the Launceston General Hospital.
An 18-year-old Newstead man pleaded not guilty to wounding and assault charges earlier on the week.
Launceston CIB say a 16-year-old Newstead youth was charged this morning with criminal code assault and was bailed to appear in the Launceston Court of Petty Sessions (Youth Justice Division) at a later date.
A 16-year-old Lilydale youth was charged this afternoon with wounding, criminal code assault, carrying a dangerous article in a public place, stealing and breach of bail.
He will appear in an out of hours sitting of the Launceston Court of Petty Sessions (Youth Justice Division) tonight.
Thomas James Crouch, 18, pleaded not guilty in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday to a charge of wounding and a charge of assault following the same incident.
Four other charges against Mr Crouch -- stealing, stating a false name and address and two counts of contravening conditions of a notice -- were adjourned.
Mr Crouch is scheduled to appear in the Supreme Court on February 1.
Tasmania Police say they want to thank those people who provided information that assisted in the investigation of the incident.
