More details have emerged after the suspicious death of a 27-year-old man this morning.
Police say the man, understood to be from the mainland, was believed to have been involved in an altercation in the early hours of this morning.
The man was injured in the altercation and a member of the public contacted emergency services.
He was taken to the Launceston General Hospital where he later died.
A Tasmania Police spokesman said the death was being treated as suspicious.
Launceston CIB detective acting Inspector Jonathan Higgins said that the man's body was found just outside the caravan park about 4am.
He said that the man was staying at the caravan park and had head injuries.
