It is believed three men were summonsed to court, with Wayne King, 58, being the first to appear last week.

He initially entered a plea of not guilty to prohibited behaviour but pleaded guilty in the Devonport Magistrates Court on Thursday to a public decency offence.

He was fined $147.60.

In January this year, police received a number of complaints relating to people exposing themselves and engaging in obscene activity in the area of Coles Beach in Devonport.

"Responding to concerns from members of the public, police have increased patrols in the area, which has included both mobile and foot patrols," a written statement from police in February said.

"People detected by police engaging in obscene and offensive activity in a public place face arrest and prosecution."

There have been several reports from a number of women of unrelated incidents at Coles Beach involving another man.

The women reported that a naked man had jumped out of the bushes and masturbated in front of them.

The Coles Beach "flasher", as he became known, has not been caught, but reports of him date back to 2007.

In December last year, four females, including a five-year- old, witnessed the naked man jump from the bushes and masturbate in front of them.
