Guilty plea to ill-treating daughter

06 Feb, 2012 10:39 AM
A RAVENSWOOD man has pleaded guilty to wilfully ill-treating his baby daughter.

Stephen Edward Palmer, 29, entered the plea just minutes before his trial was scheduled to start at the Supreme Court in Launceston this morning.

He pleaded guilty to wilfully ill-treating or mistreating his 14 week old daughter, in a manner likely to cause her ill-health, on December 22, 2010.

Kylie Maree Parker, 24, pleaded not guilty to the same charge and will stand trial at the Supreme Court tomorrow.

Palmer will reappear in court on Wednesday.
