TIMBER company Gunns has accused the Wilderness Society of using a three-day tour through the Tamar Valley to peddle misinformation about the proposed Northern Tasmanian pulp mill.
The Wilderness Society's three-day tour begins tomorrow, and will end with a community picnic hosted by former television personality and anti-pulp mill campaigner Peter Cundall.
In a statement Gunns said the Wilderness Society would be touring through areas that would not be affected by the pulp mill. The company's sustainability manager Calton Frame said the event would be used to make false claims about the mill and the State's forestry industry.
