LOS ANGELES - Rising Australian stars Sam Worthington and Anna Torv and director Craig Gillespie will be honoured next month at a gala at the home of the first Academy Awards ceremony, Hollywood's iconic Roosevelt Hotel.
The trio has been named the recipients of the Australians in Film 2009 Breakthrough Awards.
Perth-born Worthington is set to star in two of the biggest studio films of the year, Terminator Salvation and the much-anticipated James Cameron- directed sci-fi epic Avatar.
Torv, from Melbourne, is the star of the new TV series Fringe, and Gillespie is the Sydney-born director of the 2007 Oscar- nominated comedy- drama Lars And The Real Girl.
